United Way of Adams County Names
New Director of Development and Communications
United Way of Adams County is pleased to announce that Quincy native Kate Kimber has been named Director of Development and Communications. Kimber has been working in St. Louis, Missouri for the past five years. Her experience spans various sectors, and she brings a dynamic skill set and a passion for community engagement to her new position. Reflecting on her diverse background, Kimber remarked, "I have had the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life, and it has been a rewarding journey understanding both the needs of the community and the support it receives."
Kimber's professional journey includes significant roles in Aquatics management for non-profit organizations, as well as experience in restaurant management and marketing for small businesses and international exchange nonprofits. Having graduated with a bachelor's degree in marketing from Culver Stockton, Kimber is eager to combine her education and experience to contribute meaningfully to the community that has shaped her career. "I am excited to apply the knowledge and insights gained from both my academic pursuits and professional experience to give back to a community that has given me so much over the years." In her new position for United Way of Adams County, Kimber is looking forward to honoring the mission of United Way by leading initiatives that foster community growth, promote collaboration, and enhance communication channels to facilitate impactful change in Adams County.
