Joe Bonansinga Community Service Award
Joe, under the goal banner from the 1997 United Way Campaign, was the first chairman to lead a campaign that exceeded the $1,000,000 mark. Near the close of the campaign, he inspired campaign volunteers to reach the goal saying, "Anything less is not acceptable for this community." His leadership and vision still inspire us today.
The Joe Bonansinga “Mr. Quincy” Community Service Award, named after its first recipient in 1998, is presented annually by United Way of Adams County and the Rotary Club of Quincy to an individual who exemplifies the highest standards of community service. This award honors exceptional community leaders who demonstrate:
• Service and volunteer leadership by example
• Impactful community service
• Perseverance and community commitment longevity
• Energetic and motivating enthusiasm
• Unselfish devotion and joy in endeavors that benefit the needs of others
A panel of individuals representing former award winners, United Way Board members and members of the Rotary Club evaluate the nominations. To make a nomination, follow the link below.
